NASMM in The News!
NASMM (National Association of Senior Move Managers) continues to enjoy national press exposure. For example, The Washington Post called the NASMM office in late April for an extensive interview on the senior move industry. The article was featured in The Washington Post's May 11th, 2008 issue.
Additionally, many of you are already aware of the reference to NASMM on page 41 of the June 2008 issue of Money magazine, under the heading “Mixed Messes.” We are thrilled, as the smallest mention can often yield very big results!
The National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) is a not-for-profit, professional association of organizations dedicated to assisting older adults and families with the physical and emotional demands of downsizing, relocating, or modifying their homes. The senior move industry is relatively new, but the challenge of transitioning an older adult is not. As the only professional association in the country devoted to helping the rapidly increasing 55+ population with middle and later life transition issues, NASMM members are committed to maximizing the dignity and autonomy of all older adults.
Founded in 2002, NASMM:
promotes awareness of the senior move industry to consumers and other aging services professionals
advances the professional competence of its members through certification, training, and continuing education
encourages the delivery of client-centered senior move services with compassion and integrity
A CRTS (Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist) is:
a trained professional who provides services to assist those 55+ with home transition needs.
an advocate for their client, a resource for family, caregivers, and housing administrators and a manger of space, assets and projects.
dedicated to providing necessary services and professional business referrals and is guided by the CRTS Code of Conduct.
