May is Moving Month
Chase's Calendar of Events
by Sally Allen
On average, 46,000 American households move EVERY DAY. They bundle their lives into boxes and try someplace new. Regardless of the size or distance of a residential or office relocation, careful planning, communication and organization is essential for a successful move.
The following tips don’t address all of the emotional and psychological aspects of a residential or office upheaval, but they will provide some direction for a productive and stress-free move.
Tips
First and foremost communicate details to family or office staff to help provide support and team work.
Sort and purge before the move. Remember that anything you do not somehow get rid of has to be packed, loaded, unloaded, unpacked, and placed in your new home or office.
Create a moving calendar to track, daily, all the necessary elements of a successful move such as: who to notify, disconnect/connect utilities and computer equipment and printers, contract moving companies, new letterhead/stationary requirements……..and the scheduled list goes on.
Make sure “immediate needs” boxes are identified and loaded last and unloaded first.
International move – Make copies of important papers and leave a set in safe keeping in the USA.
Unpack a few boxes each day. The mountain will become a molehill.
Organizers provide extra-special personal service that will make a difference in the life of a busy transferee. As our world continues at breakneck speed the Organizer has become an indispenible resource, not a luxury.

What Others Are Saying
"I find it more energizing, motivating, and fun to have you here. It is easier for me to make those ruthless decisions of what to keep and what to let go of when you are standing beside me." --Sue B.
